- Cost Analysis: Conducting detailed cost analyses of various business processes, products, and services to identify cost drivers and areas for improvement. This involves analyzing direct costs, indirect costs, overhead costs, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assisting in the development and maintenance of budgets and financial forecasts. This includes preparing cost estimates, projecting future costs, and providing input for financial planning and resource allocation.
- Cost Control: Implementing cost control measures and monitoring cost performance against established budgets and targets. This involves identifying cost variances, investigating their causes, and recommending corrective actions to ensure costs are managed effectively.
- Product Costing: Determining the cost of manufacturing or providing specific products or services. This includes calculating direct material costs, direct labor costs, and overhead costs to arrive at an accurate product cost for pricing and profitability analysis.
- Cost Reporting: Preparing regular cost reports, cost statements, and other financial reports for management and stakeholders. These reports provide insights into cost trends, cost drivers, and overall cost performance.
- Cost System Development: Designing and implementing cost accounting systems and methodologies to track and allocate costs accurately. This may involve developing cost allocation methods, cost accounting standards, and cost tracking tools.
- Inventory Management: Collaborating with inventory management teams to ensure accurate recording and valuation of inventory. This includes monitoring inventory levels, reconciling inventory discrepancies, and performing inventory costing.

Daily Animal Care: Ensure the daily care and welfare of the animals, including feeding, watering, and monitoring their health and behavior. Administer medications or treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
Herd/Flock Management: Assist in managing the herd or flock, including sorting, tagging, and weighing animals. Help with the implementation of biosecurity measures and maintain accurate records of animal movements and treatments.
Facility Maintenance: Assist in maintaining and cleaning animal housing facilities and equipment. Help identify and report any maintenance or repair needs to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for the animals.
Assisting in Breeding and Reproduction: Support breeding programs by monitoring estrus cycles, assisting with mating procedures, and maintaining breeding records. Help with the care of newborn animals and assist in addressing any birthing complications.
